Chad Blanchette has been around baseball and woodworking his entire life. Born and raised in Northern Maine, Chad has a passion for workmanship and detail which carries over into helping youth sports. A coach and umpire for little league, he has been helping kids achieve their goals and realize their dreams on the diamond regardless of ability since 2010. His involvement and achievements in youth baseball include winning his local district twice, and winning the state tournament for his age group.
Mr. Blanchette, with the help of his son Ashton, has now set up a volunteer program to help teach young players at the little league level. 100% of the profits received from the purchase of these racks goes toward sending a group of young players to Cooperstown for a week-long, once-in-a-lifetime trip for games, camp, instruction, and a bit of history August 20th-26th at the Cooperstown All Star Village Camp. Your purchase of each beautifully hand-crafted shelf helps assure a continuity of tradition and instruction. From the moment Chad and his son Ashton make the shelves by hand, to teaching a young group of boys America's Pastime in the shadows of where James Fenimore Cooper based his Leatherstocking Tales, to very the moment they walk out of Baseball Hall of Fame for the first time, you have helped in so many ways. Thank you!
